Your new company

One of Malaysia's top international universities is now seeking a strategic Procurement Manager to support an expanding team and lead end-to-end Procurement activities as part of their expansion plans. Having always been at the forefront of research and innovation, they are now seeking a strong Strategic Sourcing individual, with extensive experience in managing a wide range of categories as well as senior-level stakeholders, to support and drive the development and implementation of strategic business decisions.

Your new role

You are responsible for devising, implementing and driving the delivery of procurement strategies and operations whilst balancing risk and value-added initiatives. You will manage the entire function life-cycle from proposals to vendor management, negotiation, contract management and payments with a great deal of compliance and integrity. This will include significant data analytics and identification of areas of opportunity or improvement across all business units.

What you'll need to succeed

• Bachelor's degree with experience in Procurement or Finance fields, with a preference for advanced accreditation in the relevant areas (eg: CIPS)

• Minimum 10 years' experience working in MNC environments in a similar role

• Working knowledge in SAP, ARIBA, Power BI and other e-procurement tools, with extensive involvement in Data Analytics

• Proven skills in people, project, contract and strategic sourcing management

• Strong change management and communication skills

• Excellent English, both written and spoken, is a must. Fluency in other languages an added advantage
