Your new company
A world market leader in the chemical manufacturing industry with an internationally renowned Shared Service Centre (SSC) based in Kuala Lumpur. Due to rapid expansion, they are looking for a Subsidiary Finance Manager to be part of the team that is responsible for running all related functions across the APAC region and globally.
Your new role
Project and Subsidiary Financing: Manages project financing across Asia Pacific, including designing optimal financing structures, evaluating new projects, and developing formats and workflows for subsidiary financing.
Regulatory Compliance and Implementation: Builds templates and checklists to ensure compliance with local regulations, internal guidelines, and smooth setup of new companies, covering areas like documentation, equity ratios, and tax benefits.
Treasury and Cash Management: Develops a transparent treasury reporting structure, coordinates with Corporate Finance and local teams on dividend declarations, and manages bank credit facility allocations and disbursements.
Banking and Cost Optimisation: Maintains strong banking relationships, negotiates transactional pricing to reduce costs, and oversees bank account management in line with global guidelines to enhance efficiency.
Continuous Improvement and Digitalisation: Leads initiatives on process improvements, digital transformation, internal controls, and other delegated projects or rollouts.
What you'll need to succeed
- Education: Professional qualification in Finance (e.g. ACCA, CPA, etc.) or Bachelor’s degree in Finance /accounting
- Working Experience: Minimum 4 years in Corporate Finance and/or Treasury Function
- Experience in the banking industry will be an advantage.
- Must have good knowledge of local country regulations
IT Skills: Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP, Data Analytic tools (PowerPivot, PBI, Tableau), interest in digitalisation trends
