Your new company

You will be joining a manufacturing company based in Malaysia, known for its production of high-quality, organic-based feed products. They are currently looking for a Head of Supply Chain who is able to lead the end-to-end Supply Chain team based in Port Klang, Selangor.

Your new role

In this role, you are responsible for establishing supply chain functions that align with business strategies, demonstrating adaptability to fluctuating market conditions, emergent business opportunities, and strategies that optimise costs, while concurrently maintaining and managing relationships with both internal and external customers and suppliers. You will be assuming responsibility for logistical facilities and procurement requirements, impart training to pertinent staff on Supply Chain Management (SCM) policies and procedures, ensure strict adherence to SCM processes, and facilitate communication with internal customers and external suppliers regarding diverse procurement needs. You will be monitoring supplier performance to evaluate their capacity to meet quality and delivery prerequisites, oversee the purchasing cycles inclusive of procurement processes, and uphold industry best practices. You will be the main person to conduct monthly surveillance on all SCM activities, manage personnel within the procurement team to optimise business performance and the underwriting service to customers, track and monitor performance in accordance with policies and procedures, provide continuous feedback and coaching to the staff, and undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the management.

What you'll need to succeed

• Solid experience in a Supply Chain Management role, from a manufacturing background.

• Well-versed in all supply chain functions (purchasing, planning, warehouse, logistics).

• Proven leadership experience managing a team.

• Strong global awareness, good business ethics, and an understanding of legal contracts.
