You will be joining an established plastics injection moulding company based in Penang Mainland.

Your new role

You are responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies that are in line with the company’s objectives, working closely with senior management to outline long-term initiatives. You will also be managing procurement, which involves managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, evaluating their performance, and overseeing procurement processes for efficient and cost-effective sourcing. You will be tasked with implementing effective inventory control to optimise stock levels and reduce costs, while monitoring and analysing inventory turnover, lead times, and order quantities. In logistics and distribution, you will be overseeing and coordinating transportation and logistics for timely and efficient product delivery, and optimising distribution networks to reduce lead times and costs. You will also be working with sales and production teams to create accurate demand forecasts and strategies to manage demand variability and ensure product availability.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a Supply Chain management role, within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the plastic processing/production industry
• Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, logistics, and demand planning.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
• Well-versed in Supply Chain ERP system.
