System Administrator
System Admin Experts Needed in this Fast-Paced Investment Firm!
Your new company
An established, independently owned investment management firm based in Malaysia, specializing in fund management and institutional asset advisory services. The company is known for its disciplined, research-driven approach and long-term value investing strategy across regional and global markets.
Your new role
- Maintain servers, OS (Windows/Linux), and IT hardware/software, including installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage and support network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi) to ensure connectivity and security.
- Track system performance, uptime, and logs to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Implement cybersecurity controls, patching, backups, and disaster recovery purposes.
- Manage user acces (Active Directory, cloud platforms) and provide technical support while improving IT operations through automation and AI tools.
What you'll need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field with 3–5 years of system administration or infrastructure support experience.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, virtualization and cloud platforms (M365, AWS, Azure, Google Workspace).
- Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, VPNs, cybersecurity principles, and endpoint/backup management tools.
- Basic scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) with familiarity with AI-driven automation and workflow optimization while ensuring data security.
