Tax & Legal Manager - Japanese

Japanese speaking Business Development specialist with a finance background required.
Our client, a leading global advisory firm, is seeking an experienced professional to support multinational organisations in optimising tax efficiency and navigating complex transfer pricing regulations. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive business development initiatives while providing strategic guidance to international clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise multinational clients, particularly those with operations in Japan, on transfer pricing strategies to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with internal teams across jurisdictions to deliver seamless and high-quality service solutions.
  • Lead business development efforts, identifying new opportunities, expanding client relationships, and fostering market growth.
  • Organize and conduct industry seminars and webinars to enhance market presence and thought leadership.
  • Manage key client engagements, from proposal preparation to strategic presentations.
  • Stay informed on evolving transfer pricing regulations and provide clients with relevant insights and recommendations.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Taxation, or a related field, or a recognised professional qualification.
  • Experience in transfer pricing advisory, documentation, APA, and audits.
  • Prior experience in a Big 4 firm or a multinational corporation in Malaysia is strongly preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of Malaysia’s transfer pricing regulations and international standards.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese and fluency in English.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional relationship management skills, with the ability to engage and advise clients effectively.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop business growth opportunities in transfer pricing.
  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and project management capabilities.
