Your new role
As Trade Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in strengthening and enhancing the organisation's global trade compliance framework. Working closely with regional and global stakeholders, you will assess evolving regulatory requirements, develop compliance standards, and provide guidance on trade-related risks across multiple jurisdictions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting the development and continuous improvement of global trade compliance standards and governance frameworks.
- Collaborating with subject-matter experts to assess regulatory changes and implement effective compliance controls across the business.
- Advising business units on sanctions, trade controls, responsible supply chain practices, and business partner risk assessments.
- Conducting in-depth evaluations of compliance risks and supporting investigations involving potentially high-risk business partners.
- Providing oversight and coordination of trade compliance activities across multiple countries and jurisdictions.
- Supporting executive reporting, regulatory monitoring initiatives, audit management, and continuous process improvements.
- Driving cross-functional projects to strengthen compliance awareness, governance, and risk management capabilities across the organisation
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree in Law, Legal Studies, International Trade, Economics, Business, or a related discipline. Compliance or regulatory certifications will be an added advantage.
- At least 8 years of experience in trade compliance, regulatory compliance, foreign trade, or risk management within industries such as manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, banking, commodities trading, or international trade.
- Experience operating within complex, multi-jurisdictional business environments.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, manage cross-functional initiatives, and drive outcomes without direct authority.
- Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment
